Dendrobium laevefolium purple type

Dendrobium laevefolium is a warm/intermediate growing species related to Dendrobium cuthbertsonii. Laevefolium will typically begin flowering in the late fall through November, on the older pseudobulbs that have dropped their leaves, but will also sometimes flower on the newer bulbs with foliage. These plants are mounted on cork and tree fern slabs.  The flowers typically last for up to 5 months.
